Fitness and Leisure: Family Friendly Hotel

The Boyne Valley Hotel is the perfect location for families. There is so much to see and do on the hotel’s doorstep and so many of these fun family activities are FREE.

We have a selection of rooms for families including double rooms with one, two or three additional single beds for kids. We have a number of inter-connecting rooms, giving parents more privacy whilst keeping the kids nearby.
Our dedicated “Kids Menu” has been designed by our chef to offer children delicious, nutritious home-made food that they will love, at pleasing prices for parents. Kids just love the Boyne Valley Hotel. Our extensive gardens are great for playing chasing, hide and seek or just messing around with a ball. The Boyne Valley Country Club has a great pool for kids to enjoy. Our dedicated baby pool means that everyone can enjoy the fun, no matter how young.

Head downtown into Drogheda and visit the Drogheda Playground (open during daylight hours). Visit the town centre to explore some of our fascinating historical sites. See St Oliver Plunkett’s Head in St. Peter’s Church on West Street. Take a trip out to Oldbridge to see the site of the Battle of the Boyne – you might even catch a re-enactment with the local historical society on horseback wearing full battle uniform.  If you are going for a spin you could go to visit:

  • Ardgillan Castle  with enormous gardens, which are great for playing in.
  • Newbridge House to visit the playground, have a picnic and see the animals.
  • Beautiful Bettystown Beach and build sandcastles before enjoying a yummy ice-cream.
